Parking planes – 0-0 City
Harry Redknapp says he could not have asked for any more from his Tottenham Hotspur players after starting the season with a 0-0 draw against Manchester City.
Emm….how about asking for a goal Harry? What a first half! I raised my hands over my head so many times it felt like I was helping to taxi an airplane. Spurs created more goal chances in that first half than Wigan will create this month. One game in and 2 points dropped? We’ll see.

Jamie O’Hara
Quick note. It’s late and I need sleep.
O’Hara is still on the books and he seems to have shut his yapper for now. One interesting note is the Republic of Ireland’s invite to Jamie & Jamie not making Capello’s reserves. So what should Jamie do?
He would slot into the Irish squad comfortably and I never see him making the three Lions. Move on mate. Enjoy your footy and make Granny O’Hara proud because you will never nail down the English career.

Autonomy – who the hell are they?
Like many fans a couple of weeks back, my first reaction was “Who?” Autonomy – never heard of them. I wondered straight away if I was pronouncing them correctly? Is it AUTO – NOMY or AWW – TON-a-ME. I still don’t know. I missed SSN news that day. They would have pronounced it correctly for me. Anyhoo, for some reason, the first thing I thought of when I seen the new sponsors were that Arthur Daley or Boycie just made it to the big time.

Simple design. 14 dots around a Capital A, the first dot being red. I don’t know the reason behind the logo design but for some reason I want to know: 1) Why the red dot and 2)Why 14 dots? Whatever the answer may be it is irrelevant to Tottenham but I am eager to get my answers just for my curiosity. All in all, it is a nicer logo than Mansion in my opinion and I’m happy we didn’t end up with a deal with Fiat Autonomy……ahem

Phew!
So what do Autonomy actually do and who are they? The simple answer is they are an Enterprise software company in the I.T industry based in both Cambridge & San Francisco. The company’s techniques are centered on Bayesian inference which has something to do with this
and this
. If you understand what I just copied & pasted then fair fuck to you because I haven’t a Danny about any of it. And if I got some of it wrong who gives a shit. In a nutshell, Autonomy is something us regular Joe Soap’s will not be buying like previous sponsors. I remember the first Holsten I drank back in the late 80′s. It tasted like piss but I loved it because it was on the Spurs shirt. Same goes during the mid 90′s when I purchased my new PC, a Hewlett Packard that had a monitor the size of a small refrigerator. A few years later I was back on the Holsten again, took a Thomson holiday (with an ex called Thomson) and gave about £20 to Mansion one night. So it looks like Autonomy will get nowt from me unless my life changes drastically in the future.
Roll on the Cup shirt sponsors! I eagerly await your product! Please be Guinness

Crouchy Cottage
So, Fulham believed Peter Crouch was their player last year and they are set to take legal action against Premier League chairman Dave Richards for being involved. They were staggered when he joined Spurs for £2m less than they offered. There is nothing staggering about wanting to join a bigger club with higher expectations. Maybe the fact that Pompey didn’t have Tottenham match Fulham’s offer of £11m is questionable. I don’t really give a toss about it. The deal is done. Let Fulham & Dave Richards duke this one out.

Sunk by a Yellow Submarine
“Welcome back to White Hart Lane fans, here is a good old pre season thrashing!”
4-1 Villarreal. No biggie, it just reminds the players that they are back to work. To those fans with Anxiety disorders, fret not. Go hug a Chelsea fan. They lost 5-1 against Wycombe. I watched the game live on iraqgoals and I must admit I got both bored and distracted. Caught the SSN clip later on to see what Harry had to say but they just focused on his anger at the international games on the Wednesday prior to the seasons start. Must say I agree with him however all clubs are in the same boat but it was a bonehead decision to have those games scheduled.
Yesterdays Scott Parker news has calmed down. Once the news broke, West Ham fans were all over the forums like the seagulls in Finding Nemo trying to be heard about Tottenham snatching their big fish. Their only big fish. In fact he is an average fish but their best player. I love how David Sullivan released that statement which is a ploy to get Hammer fans behind him when they have little money, huge debt and will sell other players meanwhile bringing in nobody of note. DON’T WORRY FANS, WE HAVE SCOTT PARKER!! HIP HIP HOORAY!!!! I wonder what Parker is thinking? New contract and 5 years of fighting relegation – AWESOME!
